Australian Grand Prix
A Bit of Background:
The traditional season opener has moved to a later spot on the 2021 calendar, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It will be relief to finally race around the Albert Park Circuit, with emergency measures put in place to call off the event on the eve of the weekend back in 2020.
What Makes Albert Park Unique:
It’s rare that all cars finish this one, but that’s more down to its usual slot as the first race of the season and reliability issues coming into play. But we can still be sure of surprises from this temporary circuit. The track uses public roads that often need a couple of sessions at least to rubber in and it can take a little while for the drivers to find their groove for the weekend.
